Powerflushing

Older heating systems with cast iron boilers, old radiators and open to the atmosphere need a powerflush before the installation of a new boiler.

Because modern combination boilers have a lot of moving parts, the sludge and scale needs to be removed to help prevent the boiler from breaking down.
The power flush set up consists of a big machine with a pump on it. It is hooked up by big industrial hoses to a twin magnetic system.

Once the machine is set up and running it draws out the sludge from the system. Chemicals are added to help the breakdown of the sludge. The magnets collect the sludge and they are cleaned during the process. If you watch our video on a power flush it will give you a good idea on what goes on.

The Flush is the most important part of the boiler installation. If the existing system has sludge that gets into the boiler, the new boiler will break down or start to fail within a few years. Wet parts such as the pump, expansion vessel, hot water and main heat exchanger, pressure relief valve will all start to fail.

If the manufacturer gets called out to a broken boiler under its warranty and does a water sample check. It needs to pass it or the boilers warranty will be void. With our power flushing, we guarantee the warranty stays valid for the duration. Fill the heating system and test. Once the system is balanced and working ok, fill the system with a dose of inhibitor to help protect against corrosion.
